I decided I wanted a Hello Kitty laptop skin for my Macbook. So off I went to the largest Hello Kitty store in the world in Ginza. Its located at the Nishi Ginza Department store which is off exit C4 of the Ginza Metro station. There are actually 2 Hello Kitty stores in that department store. One is called Questina and its for high end Hello Kitty goods. Here you can buy a Hello Kitty diamond brooch for over 10000 dollars! The second floor is where the Sanrio store is and is the largest Hello Kitty store in the world. They have everything from Hello Kitty suitcases, clothing, weight scales, toaster, TVs but NO Macbook Skin!! They had ipod and iphoto skins but none for the laptops. They did however, have a protective cover so I got that instead. Actually I went a bit overboard on Hello Kitty but after 2.5 years in Japan, I had to have a Hello Kitty fix!
Nishi Ginza Department Store is also home to a famous store to buy lottery tickets. Apparently the win ratio is high here. The lines were incredibly long!

For lunch, a friend who is visiting me suggested we go to Jangara Ramen
which he claims is the best ramen-ya in Tokyo. It specializes in
Kyushi style Tonkotsu ramen. The broth for Tonkotsu ramen is different
from Tokyo ramen. The broth is made from boiling pork bones for a very
long time. Although, I have been avoiding pork ( I decided I will only
eat things that I can kill and I can't kill a pig) I made an exception
for the day and had their special Kyushu style ramen. I have to agree
with my friend, it was the best ramen I've had in Tokyo!
