Malibu, CA

Sunny, Mid 70s and Clear

Another gorgeous day in Southern California.  Skies were so clear that one could see Catalina Island from Malibu.  But after a week of work and the never ending unpacking, was very happy the weekend is starting.  While driving back from the office, I had a major craving for a good American Rib Eye Steak so made a side trip to Bristol Farms and bought an aged 0.72 lb(350grams) Wagyu organic Rib Eye steak for dinner.  And it only set me back about 20$ which is a lot but seems very inexpensive after living in Japan for 3 years.

So came home, took the dogs for a walk and treated myself to a steak dinner with sauteed baby spinach leaves and a wafu (Japanese style Western food) mushroom risotto (sauteed mushroom and arboria rice cooked in dashi, soy and a touch of rice vinegar).  Yum and so stuffed.    Should have the energy to tackle boxes again this weekend cuz I have to get the house in order this weekend .  Ocean shipment is arriving in 2 weeks!!

Malibu Bluffs Park:  Another spectacular sunrise.  Took the dogs for a walk around the park this morning.

Ribeye Steak with Japanese style mushroom risotto and sauteed spinach.  Can't wait 'til all my kitchen stuff arrives so I can start cooking some more complex dishes again.
