Umm, dense fog and…….oops, not Fog but Marine Layer
So June in Malibu is known as June Gloom. Seriously, you would think I live in NoCal like San Francisco where the fog rolls in constantly. Anyhow, June Gloom is when not fog but the "marine layer" rolls in where we live in a quite macabre and grey environment. What is amazing is that if you drive 5 mile East over the mountains, it is nothing but sunshine and at least 15 degrees higher in temperature. I have asked may folks what is the difference between fog and marine layer and no one knew. Hmm…. So now that tomorrow in July 1, June Gloom should end with abundant sunshine….
