Boulder, Colorado

SNOW!!

I'm in Boulder at my sisters getting ready for Christmas.  But fortunately for me, a trip to NYC a couple of weeks ago jumpstarted my holiday spirit.  I didn't realize until the cab driver was taking me from the airport through Manhattan to my hotel how much I miss Christmas season in New York.  It's been over 5 years since I've been to the Big Apple in December.  Yes, Tokyo has perfect and awe-inspiring illuminations but to be honest, no Christmas spirit.  New York, though, is full of Christmas cheer, spirit and tradition.  Yes, it's crazy with tourists during the season but to me it is still the most festive city in America during the holidays.  And here's why:

Radio City Music Hall:  I saw the Christmas Spectacular the first year I moved to New York in 1983!

Almost every building had tasteful and not over the top Christmas decorations (which must have been difficult for Mr. Trump:))

Of course, I forgot my DSLR when visiting NYC on business so took all photos with my iphone. But as it was rainy during my visit, it captured the mood.

And finally, Happy Holidays Everyone!
