Malibu, California

Sun, Sun and more Sun!

The desert winds can be fierce and create much havoc but today it brought summer weather to Malibu and bright blue skies.  And in this weather, the ocean turns a deep blue that sparkles in the sun.  So around 11am today as a break from work, I took Skipper and Yuki to walk along my favorite beach in Los Angeles – Westward Beach.  It is only about 2 miles from where I live and because not many people know about it, it rarely is crowded.  The water is pristine and it is common to see dophins surf the waves.

It's called Westward Beach because it faces West.  You see, most of Malibu faces South which surprises many folks as after all California is on the west coast.

We couldn't get close to the water because dogs are not allowed on the beach.  But given few were going in, I assume the water is still pretty cold.  Still, how exciting,  summer is almost here!

Westward Beach photos:  The artifacts on the photos are from my lens.  I had the 2 dogs with me so could not clean the lens efficiently.

Skipper was not cooperative when it came to taking pictures.  Yuki was somewhat cooperative.
