Malibu, California
Rainy and Gloomy just like me today
This headache I've had since Sunday just won't go away despite massive doses of Advil. It's not a migraine just a dull headache which has me in a foul mood since yesterday. Went to Malibu Urgent Care yesterday where doc said I needed to rest and take Advil or Tylenol. Well, it ain't working. On top of things, my pups have had a stomach virus so had to sleep Monday nite in sweats so I can take them out to do their thing outside instead on my carpet in my bedroom.
Then today, gosh, everyone seems to be on my case and everything that can go wrong is going wrong. So much negativity. The day ended with me taking the dogs for a walk around my housing complex only to have a grouchy lady yell at me to not walk the dogs in front of her house and if she sees me again she'll have my dogs impounded! And this is while I'm picking up poop left by bad dog owners!
Enough is enough, so as the skies cleared around 6pm and while Skipper was sound asleep, took Yuki-chan for a short hike up Busch Trail by Zuma Beach to "clear" the head and think positively. The skies were an incredible blue and the trail was lush with wild flowers. I only had my iphone but next time I'll do a blog on the entire trail and take photos with my nice camera. Hmm, maybe I'll do it this weekend. Felt much better after the short hike but still have a dull headache. Since the dogs tummies are doing fine, and happiness has returned, I'm calling it an early night and indulge in Lost instead of Frontline (although I will tape it but can't see it tonite, cuz it's a depressing story about Afghani boys being used by warlords)
The trail is actually a fire road. Surprisingly it was not muddy
Yuki-chan, happy on the trail. When Skipper was younger we took this trail uphill for about 2 hrs and then did the return downhill. Skipper was quite a hiker when young. The longest trail I did with him was 5 hours (with breaks of course)
Lush, green Santa Monica Mountains
